IMDS Production helps Montreal City Hall to become a leader as a smart and numeric city

IMDS Production and the City of Montreal have signed several digitization contracts in order to dematerialize many documents from the city's archives and make them available to the public, who can consult them online.

In particular, the decision summaries from 1973 to 1989 will soon be digitized by IMDS Production, which obtained Wednesday, September 6, during the weekly meeting of the executive committee, a contract of $ 152,000 to digitally copy documents from the City.

"This initiative is part of the City of Montreal's goal of becoming a world recognized leader in smart and digital cities," said the latest decision summary.

"We are very happy and proud to contribute to the digital transformation of our city, and thus to make it possible to offer new services to citizens," said F. Cornu, President of IMDS Production.

The administration plans to set up "a virtual archive consultation room". Ultimately, the City hopes to digitize files dating back to 1840.
